Christy's Graduation

We traveled to Florida the first week of May for my youngest sister's graduation from Pensacola Christian College. We had an awesome time!

My parents booked a hotel in Orange Beach, AL for several nights. Christy just loved being on the beach, near the pool, and having the freedom to do whatever she wanted.

On our visit for Christy's graduation, we were able to spend time with Jeremy's family near Mobile. We always love hanging out there. And Ian got to see two of his cousins - Carter(4 yrs.) and Logan(10 mos.)

Ian's first birthday was April 7, 2008. I think he had a really fun day. We started the day at the Dallas Zoo. I forgot to bring the stroller but Ian didn't seem to care - he walked the whole day! He had so much fun exploring that we stayed until closing time. He loved the penguins the most but also liked the monkeys and gorillas. You can see lots more photos of the zoo on Jeremy's Flickr website - http://www.flickr.com/photos/jprowland.

After our trip home and a nap, we had a little party in the backyard. There were lots of presents from family who couldn't be there and cupcakes and ice cream! It was a special day for us celebrating the incredible joy Ian has brought to us over the past year!

He can only carry it if it's empty. : )

I just love that little face!

We have enjoyed having the time to explore Dallas. We took trips to the Dallas Arboretum and the Dallas Museum of Art.

Starting Out 2008

I finally got some new stuff on here! Here are some photos to get you caught up with life here in our household. As of the end of January, Jeremy is no longer working at Corgan. He has started his own photography business -
J.P. Rowland Photography and Fine Art. Check out his website at http://www.jprowland.com. I am now working night shifts at Presbyterian Hospital of Allen. The location is ideal - only about 6 miles away. I'm especially thankful for the short commute when I'm driving home after a 12 hr. shift! Jeremy stays home with Ian during the days so I can sleep. We have learned some valuable lessons about God's provision. The new employment arrangement allows us so much more time together as a family.
