Christy rode back with us from Pensacola to interview for a job here in Dallas. We are so excited that she was offered the job and accepted! It will be so much fun to have her here! While she was here, we took a trip to the zoo.

Christy's Graduation
We traveled to Florida the first week of May for my youngest sister's graduation from Pensacola Christian College. We had an awesome time!
Christy and her classmates from Vermont
Christy & a grumpy, hot, tired, hungry Ian.
Christy & her proud parents
Hard to believe my little sister has graduated from college!
Picnic at Pensacola Beach after graduation. Ian got his first experience at the beach. So much fun!!
My parents booked a hotel in Orange Beach, AL for several nights. Christy just loved being on the beach, near the pool, and having the freedom to do whatever she wanted.

Isn't she cute?!
On our visit for Christy's graduation, we were able to spend time with Jeremy's family near Mobile. We always love hanging out there. And Ian got to see two of his cousins - Carter(4 yrs.) and Logan(10 mos.)
Look - it's Calvin & Hobbes

Ian's first birthday was April 7, 2008. I think he had a really fun day. We started the day at the Dallas Zoo. I forgot to bring the stroller but Ian didn't seem to care - he walked the whole day! He had so much fun exploring that we stayed until closing time. He loved the penguins the most but also liked the monkeys and gorillas. You can see lots more photos of the zoo on Jeremy's Flickr website - http://www.flickr.com/photos/jprowland.
After our trip home and a nap, we had a little party in the backyard. There were lots of presents from family who couldn't be there and cupcakes and ice cream! It was a special day for us celebrating the incredible joy Ian has brought to us over the past year!
