Here are some photos from Christmas morning - Ian really enjoyed pulling the tissue paper out of the bags. Tonight, Bill & Sharon took us to a Hibachi grill for dinner. Ian was a little frightened of the fire, but loved watching the chef in his bright red hat. Then we went for ice cream - I got eggnog flavored and it was great!

In Alabama for Christmas
Jeremy, Ian & I arrived here in Alabama yesterday to spend time with the Rowland side of the family. Not only does Ian get to see his grandparents, but also his cousins, aunts, uncles and great-grandmother. He is really enjoying being with Jeremy's sister Janna's boys - Carter(3 yr)and Logan(6 mos).
Ian loved story time with Grandma tonight!

Christmas is Coming
Friday night we went to the Christmas Journey - a live interactive nativity scene put on by our church. We took the "hayride" which actually had benches rather than hay. Ian stayed awake the whole time despite the fact that it was past his bedtime.
Tonight Jeremy & I went to his office Christmas party downtown. Ian stayed with Summer - his first babysitter outside of family. Summer and I were roommates in college. I did okay leaving him, but it didn't take me long to give him a kiss once I got home! Before we left for the party, we had fun decorating Christmas cookies.

Turkey
Yesterday Ian had his first taste of meat. He got a little bit of finely shredded turkey mixed in his sweet potatoes. Today he got some daddy time while I did some Christmas shopping and errands. I think they had fun together.

Ian is about 7 1/2 months old and growing like a weed. He took two steps on his own back on the 18th of November, but has decided that his new method of crawling is faster and more effective for now. Probably won't be long until he really is toddling around. He also likes getting around by standing up and pushing his toy rocket in front of him. Every day he seems to understand more and more of what's going on around him. He clearly understands the words "hungry" and "bottle" - you should see the way his face lights up at those words! And if I start counting - "1,2..", he gets all excited because he knows that on 3 he will probably get tossed in the air or spun around in circles. :) And he still has crazy hair! He is such a sweetheart!

Eldorado Heights Fall Festival
November 10, 2007
Ian, Jeremy & I went to the Eldorado Heights II Fall Festival in our neighborhood. It didn't feel much like fall - it was 85 degrees! Even so, we had fun. Everything was really geared towards older kids, but I tried to involve him in as much as possible. He just liked being part of the excitement and watching the other kids.
